Nexium Control Tablets 20mg is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).
Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (“foodpipe”) which may become inflamed and painful. This may cause you symptoms such as a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Nexium Control is not meant to bring immediate relief. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 days in a row before you feel better. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 14 days.

Medication Uses Long term treatmentNexium Control is an anti-reflux medication (also known as heartburn or acid regurgitation). It is used in adults to treat reflux or heartburn associated with various diseases such as reflux ( Lauderdale, 1997 ).
Reflux is a condition where the esophagus (the tube carrying saliva and/or stool passes through) becomes swollen and inflamed and can lead to difficulty in swallowing, heartburn and painful symptoms in subsequent months. Heartburn and acid regurgitation usually come without any obvious cause.
Reflux can also lead to suffering due to it causing a painful chest, throat or nasalache. It may cause difficulty in breathing, nausea and stomach pain. Nexium Control can help manage these symptoms and provide relief from pain and discomfort.

yeasts and mycobacterium spp. that aregrowth in the treatment of GERD may increase the risk of esomeprazole resistance (Nidus Pharmacy, Inc., Rockville, MD). Yeasts that aregrowth in the treatment of GERD may be associated with more severe complications such as post esophagitis and gastric ulcer.
Yeast overgrowth may lead to reduced sensitivity and susceptibility to antibiotics. It may also reduce the stability of the medications. The risk of resistance to overgrowth may be higher in patients with certain medical conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease or esophagitis (Nidus Pharmacy, Inc., Rockville, MD).
Yeast overgrowth may result in reduced efficacy and stability of medications. It may also result in your medication not being suitable for you and your stomach upset may occur.
Eosinophilia and yeast infections
may occur but it is commonly seen in heartburn and acid regurgitation. There is also reports of mycobacterium spp. (see section 4.4) which may occur as a result of yeast overgrowth in the treatment of GERD.
Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets treats heartburn and acid reflux. They are suitable for short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults, aged 18 or over.
Caution: Do not use if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
How to use:
